I am dedicating this piece to 2 friends of mine who support my Classical Formalism art ~ here are their icons so you can click on them in order to visit their amazing galleries :icon011art: :iconsilverb:

Thank You for your comments, :+fav:s & collecting of my art ~ I greatly appreciate them & You ~ Nan :) :rose:

My work may not be reproduced, copied, edited, published, transmitted or uploaded in any way ~ all my work is copyrighted ~my name and the date I created each piece is in full view for you to see ~ then in some cases I have to use a lighter shade of the main color of the piece ~ this info is the same size as the visible info ~ the reason I do this is because the info would destroy the look of the pieces...

2010 - Classical Formalism - subgroup of Minimalism - it has many demanding rules I must follow in order to have a true Classical Formalism pieces - here are the demands which I met - geometric format - division of space - limited color palette - lines - angles - it must also be clutter free which means a piece has to be stripped down to its bones - this Three Piece Series comes from a 1976 Drawing which I call The Original - I have both a Large & Small version of the 3 Pieces in the series - here are links to the two versions of the same Original Drawing [link] & a much truer to life version [link] - this is the final PC ReDraw Piece from it - this Piece deals with the area on the Left Side of the drawing - White Geometric Format -- I placed a black contour line around it in order to create the Boundary for the 2 rooms - I used 8 Hand Laid Vertical Lines which help Define the Areas of each room -- I Used Perspective Mode in order to Create the Black Step Like Areas or Floors of The 2 Rooms -- I then added 4 Diagonal Lines to Define the Height of Both Rooms -- Finally I Added the Then Black Narrow Horizontal Box Under The First Room which is in The Original Drawing - I then Placed a Smaller Narrow White Horizontal Box Area within The Middle of The Larger Horizontal one in order to Finish this piece - Finally I placed another Black Contour Line which is slightly wider in order to create a border for the piece plus give it a clean finished presentation - there is a great deal of 2D Tension on the picture plane within The Piece - you will notice that you cannot stop moving your eyes from One Solid Black Floor to the - you also keep following the Vertical Lines up & back down again inside each of the Two Rooms - then you will notice that you keep going back & forth viewing the Horizontal Box or Bar like part under the 1st room - Another Reason There is so much Tension going on it due to the Confusion regarding the Front of The Second Room Blending into White Negative Space within the Top Part of The Piece - this is Caused by the Used of the Diagonal Lines which help Define the Side Walls of this area - Then When The Second Room Leads No Where but into White Negative Space once again which Confuses You Even More - this is also Caused by the Diagonal lines which help Define the Side Walls of this area - You Are Totally Lost Regarding These Two Rooms when it comes to Where Do the Start & End -- there is also The Dynamics of Isometrics Going on In This Piece -- You will Notice The Floor Areas & The Bottom Side Walls of Each Room Jump Forward & Lose The Look As Being Floors & Walls -- They Become Geometric Forms all on Their Own -- Then They Will Jump Back as They are Meant To Appear -- I chose a very clean font for my name & the year I created the piece - I used a very light shade of gray to fill the letters & numbers so this info would not take anything away form the piece - I placed this info on the area between the 2 Black Floors of the 2 Rooms - This is a Very Clean & Pristine Piece which Contains No Clutter - It has Been Stripped To Its Very Bones which make it a True Classical Formalism Piece
