2009 - Minimalism - black horizontal geometric format - I used 2 large upright vertical gray rectangular shaped areas next on top of the format - the vary in width - next I placed a white vertical geometric shape on top of them which is close to the right side of the piece - I then placed a an almost smaller black rectangular shape on top of the white one plus the largest gray shape on the left side of the piece - finally I placed a long narrow horizontal rectangle almost in the very center of the piece - I used a stock square fill which I filled with magenta & yellow - I twisted it at a 45% angle - next I controlled the blending of the 2 colors in order to achieve the placement of yellow diamond shape in the center of this rectangle - I was able to spread it out to where it touches both ends of the narrow horizontal rectangle - this rectangle ties all the parts of the piece which are on top of the black format together - it also unifies this extremely strong clean & pristine piece which contains no clutter
