Thank you for your comments, :+fav:s & collecting of my art ~ I greatly appreciate Them & You ~ Jett :) :rose:

My work may not be reproduced, copied, edited, published, transmitted or uploaded in any way ~ all my work is copyrighted ~my name and the date I created each piece is in full view for you to see ~ then in some cases I have to use a lighter shade of the main color of the piece ~ this info is the same size as the visible info ~ the reason I do this is because the info would destroy the look of the pieces…

February 2008 - Classical Formalism - sub-group of minimalism which extremely tough rules that must be met in order to obtain a True Classical Formalism Piece - this is the list of demands that one must meet when creating a Classical Formalism piece - geometric format - division of space - B & W color palette - angles & lines - this piece has been taken down to its geometric rectangular foundation - I used a stock square fill set to custom settings for the foundation & or background for this piece - I used black & white in it & twisted it to a 45 degree angle in order to obtain the effect I wanted for the foundation & or background - it has a black center - the fill becomes whiter as it moves towards the outside edges of it - there are 2 very light gray lines in the center of it - 1 is horizontal & the other is vertical - these lines help to divide the space in this piece - the lightest area of the custom square fill is a white contour line which is like diamond shape - this shape divides the space even more - then the fill becomes darker as it moves outwards to all 4 corners of the background foundation - I then created 2 black horizontal rectangles which are of the same size - I placed one above the black center of the foundation & the other under it - they are set so they are equally placed within the piece - they appear to float due to the use of the fill I used for the background or foundation of this piece - I wanted these rectangles to become planes - in order to do this I had 2 use perspective to create a bottom for the upper rectangle & a top for the bottom one - these perspective areas are both the same size - they become very narrow as the move towards the black center of the piece & or custom square fill - I used a stock linear fill for these 2 areas - they start out black & become white at the other end of them - the white part of the perspective sections of the black horizontal rectangles are in sharp contrast with the black center of the custom fill - these 2 planes appear to be lit with white light from within - this adds even more to the sense of 2 floating planes - the edges of the perspective sections create angles in the piece - the white diamond shape in the background also creates angles - all of these divide the space within the piece - then the one vertical & one horizontal gray like lines in the fill divide the space even more within it - I then placed a wide black contour line around the edges of the piece to define them & give the piece a very clean presentation - I have not used any extras in this piece which means I have taken it down to its very foundation or as I like to say it has been stripped to the bones - I have met all of the rules for a piece to be called a True Classical Formalism Piece & this piece is truly one - it is very clean & pristine plus it contains no clutter
